In the mid sixties as a time served offset lithographer I studied photography at Aston School of Graphic Art, Part of Aston University.
I was primarily involved with taking images of images for reproduction using gallery cameras as well as half tone screens, progressing to 4 colour separations of colour images for the print industry.
In 1994 I semi retired to Borth.
In 2007 after suffering brain damage in an accident I decided to find a hobby to help with my condition and partial recovery and thought photography might be the way to proceed. So I purchased a Digital SLR camera and some software and started from there.
In 2009 I joined Aberystwyth Camera Club and soon found out there was more to photography than just taking pictures. It was pointed out to me the importance of presentation.
I find the club is very diverse and includes everyone from novice to professional photographer. This broad mix of talent often leads to healthy feedback sessions of our work.
